Wellness Exams
Bringing your pet in for wellness exams, no matter their age, is so important for their health! We perform nose-to-tail physical exams, covering all important body systems. Be prepared to answer questions about your pet’s behavior, diet, exercise and daily routine. We can also provide any needed vaccinations, and discuss appropriate diagnostic testing that your pet may need. These appointments allow us to address any concerns you may have about your pet’s health or prescribe needed medications. They also allow us to form a relationship with you and your pet, so we can better meet your needs!
Puppy & Kitten Care
When you have a new puppy or kitten, bring them to us! We will provide a full physical examination to make sure they are healthy. You can come to us with any questions about how to take care of your new pet. From food to toys to medications, exercise, training, and more, we can recommend what is best for the newest member of the family. We will also determine a schedule for parasite testing, treatment, and prevention as well as vaccinations. Vaccinations
It is so important to make sure your pet is up-to-date on vaccinations. Vaccinations are essential for protecting your pet from infectious diseases that can be life-threatening and are preventable. Pain Management
At Raynham Veterinary Hospital, Inc., we are a compassionate practice dedicated to making sure your pet is happy and has a high quality of life. This means helping many of them with pain management. Many types of pain develop slowly, so the signs are often subtle and easily missed. Our exams are geared to try to detect pain and then determine the best treatment plan to help your pet be more comfortable.
Radiology (X-Rays)
Radiology is an important diagnostic tool in veterinary care. It helps us see your pet’s organs and bones and detect any abnormalities or defects that are signs of disease. X-rays are noninvasive and painless, and your pet is only exposed to a minimal amount of radiation. Radiology is a part of our mission to deliver state-of-the-art diagnostics for our patients. Because we have digital radiography, we have online access to Board-certified radiologists for consultation, and can easily email your pet’s studies to referral practices when necessary.
Nutritional Advice
The dietary needs of your pet change throughout the course of his or her life. Active puppies and kitties have much different nutritional needs than older dogs or cats. Plus, certain foods can help animals who have health issues such as arthritis, heart disease, gastrointestinal disorders, allergies, and more. Whether your pet has specific needs or is under- or overweight, our nutritional advice service can help. We will discuss your pet’s needs and options available.
Parasite Prevention & Control
Fleas, ticks, heartworm, and intestinal parasites are threats to your pets and your family. Fleas and ticks can carry diseases, while heartworms live in and damage your pet's heart and lungs. Some intestinal parasites can even be transferred to humans. Sometimes pets don’t show any symptoms of having a parasite. That’s why we provide regular parasite testing and prescribe parasite prevention and control medication. We can help your pet stay protected from parasites so they can live a long and healthy life!
Senior Care
At around seven years of age, cats and many dogs are considered seniors, and many large-breed dogs are already considered as geriatrics. As our pets age, they have different requirements for their diet, exercise and routine care. In addition, they may develop health problems that don’t show any outward symptoms at least in the early stages. That’s why it is important to have your senior pet continue to come in for regular wellness visits. These checkups also allow you to bring up any concerns you have about your pet’s health. As your pet grows older, we will recommend bloodwork and other tests to evaluate for various diseases, and will need certain tests in order to prescribe medications or monitor those on long-term medications. These are done with your pet’s long-term health in mind.
Euthanasia Services
End-of-life care and humane euthanasia are the most difficult decisions a pet-owner can make. We will examine your pet and meet with your family to discuss quality-of-life issues. We will help guide you in making the decision that is the best for your pet. Our staff will provide loving, compassionate support for both you and your pet throughout the process.
Grooming
Because we have access to your pet’s health records, we are a great option for grooming services. While we pamper your cat or dog, we can be on the lookout for any health issues. We provide bathing, nail trims and hair-cutting services. If you have any special requests for products to be used on your animal, just let us know and we will be happy to accommodate those. Our professional groomer provides each animal with tender, compassionate care to make sure they are relaxed and comfortable throughout the session.
Microchipping
Microchipping is a form of pet identification that can’t get lost, damaged or stolen. The microchip is very small, and inserting it is a quick, easy, and very safe process. The microchip will contain information about your pet’s identification number and the chip-registry company. The person who finds your pet can bring him to a vet or shelter, who will scan the pet for a microchip, uncovering which company to contact about your pet’s contact information. Registration must be kept up-to-date by owners. The manufacturer can then contact you as long as you have kept your registration up-to-date.

When we determine that your pet needs a medication, we have many of those in stock for your convenience. We give you a competitive price on prescriptions for flea and tick, heartworm, and other parasite protection and prevention, pain medication and more. Plus, we provide excellent customer service. If we don’t have what you need in stock, we can give you a written prescription to use on an online pharmacy. We also have our own online store, which offers prescription medications for your convenience. Whenever we prescribe a medication, we will make sure that you are informed on the dosage, what the medication is used for and any side effects your pet may experience.
