Dr. Karen Reamsnyder founded the Raynham Veterinary Hospital in 1985, in a converted barn attached to her home. She became the first veterinarian in Raynham after determining that this was an ideal place for a new animal hospital in Southeastern Massachusetts.

Since that time, the Raynham Veterinary Hospital has grown steadily in size and prestige. It obtained American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) accreditation in 1988, and it is currently accredited at the highest level obtainable.

In 1998, the Raynham Veterinary Hospital moved into its present location at 402 South Street East. The building was specifically designed as a veterinary hospital.
